GFCC onboards Researcher to Study the Ukrainian Crisis
Russia's invasion of Ukraine has caused profound humanitarian and socio-economic losses to the Ukrainian people and severely impacted the global economy. Considering its outreach, ongoing development, and the scale of damage, the GFCC and Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) have onboarded a new researcher to conduct specific analysis on the Ukrainian crisis on the scope of the Driving Innovation in Times of Crisis initiative.

GFCC welcomes Dr. Cláudio Furtado as new Distinguished Fellow
The GFCC is pleased to welcome Dr. Cláudio Vilar Furtado as a Distinguished Fellow. Dr. Furtado has prestigious corporate experience in business and finance and served the Brazilian government as the President of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) between 2019 and 2023. He is also an influential business professor, specialized in investments, corporate finance, corporate governance, business economics, private equity and venture capital.

GFCC onboards researchers to the Driving Innovation in Times of Crisis initiative
The GFCC has added two new researchers to our Driving Innovation in Times of Crisis (DITC) initiative. This partnership with Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST) began in 2022 and entered a new phase in 2023, with a renewed focus on identifying opportunities to drive innovation during times of crisis and increase shared prosperity while limiting socio-economic losses.
