Our 2025 Call to Action Advancing Competitiveness in a Turbulent and Fast Changing World outlines ten critical priorities designed to enhance productivity, foster growth, and raise living standards across sectors.
However, a framework is only as powerful as its implementation. To translate these priorities into reality, we formed two strategic global task forces that will turn these strategies into concrete next steps:

Human and AI: Co-evolving to Drive Inclusive Prosperity
Led by Prof. Aleks Subic, this task force aims to develop a Global Narrative and Action Plan on how humans and intelligent systems can co-evolve to enhance productivity, innovation, and inclusive prosperity in the AI economy. We are moving beyond the narrative of displacement to focus on "co-evolution"—a future where people and intelligent systems learn, adapt, and grow together to create new forms of value and competitiveness.
Our work focuses on ensuring the benefits of technological progress are broadly shared across society, leaving no region, group, or generation behind. Through global collaboration, we are shaping recommendations and pilot initiatives that address:
Human Capital
Identifying the capabilities most critical for the AI-driven economy, such as complex problem-solving and emotional intelligence
Workforce Readiness
Aligning education systems and reskilling frameworks with the demands of an AI-integrated future.
Ethics & Governance
Promoting human-centered AI ethics and ensuring public trust.

The Competitiveness Playbook: Unleashing Growth in Emerging Frontiers
Led by Prof. Ken Sloan and Dr. Hippolyte Fofack and guided by the principle that competitiveness can lift all boats, this task force is dedicated to generating on-the-ground impact in emerging growth frontiers—including Africa, Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America. Our goal is to help these regions realize their full potential by strengthening the foundations of competitiveness and lowering economic friction.
To drive prosperity and create a replicable framework, we are pursuing three core objectives:
Cases for Impact
Partnering with regional actors to support concrete initiatives that drive measurable gains, starting in Africa and expanding to other markets.
Address Systemic Barriers
Tackle challenges that require action at the systems level, such as harmonizing trade standards and facilitating cross-border capital flows.
Body of knowledge
Integrate lessons from on-the-ground work to curate a body of knowledge that can be applied in other realities to replicate successful approaches globally.
