Forging Partnerships to Accelerate Progress
Collaboration is key to achieving ambitious goals, particularly in innovation, sustainability, digital, and economic transformation. The GFCC catalyzes partnerships by purposefully bringing together leaders and organizations that share a common vision, critical objectives or complementary strengths.

We go beyond traditional networking, facilitating alliances that accelerate progress. By connecting members and leaders across sectors, we help them accelerate innovation, amplify their impact and achieve mutual goals. Through the GFCC network, partnerships have been established in education, business, technological development and trade.

Joining our network allows you to forge new connections and partner with the GFCC to catalyze new projects and initiatives for your region and organization.
Our Global Impact: Partnerships We've Helped Establish
In November 2024, the GFCC and four of its university members—Aston University, University of California San Diego, University Teknologi Petronas, and Queen’s University Belfast—signed a strategic agreement to establish the Global Centre for Innovation Leadership (GCIL). The new center will drive place-based and place-making innovation agenda and deliver courses in innovation leadership and policy.
Aston University and Queen’s University Belfast first solidified their partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) at the GFCC Global Innovation Summit in November 2023. The partnership announced its first major milestone: a dual PhD program. Unveiled at the GFCC Annual Meeting in November 2024, this program will give students unparalleled access to the resources and expertise of both institutions.
In December 2023, The Malaysian Industry-Government for High Technology (MIGHT) and the Qatar Research, Development and Innovation (QRDI) Council have formed a strategic partnership. This collaboration is designed to foster the exchange of ideas and expertise, driving technological advancements and sustainable economic development for both nations.
In 2014, the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), the non-profit organization Movimento Brasil Competitivo (MBC), and the University of São Paulo (USP) partnered to host eight "Competitiveness Dialogues." These events focused on discussing the performance of Brazilian industry, competitiveness strategies and economic growth. The partnership was strengthened by the use of the Competitiveness Decoder, a pioneering tool developed by the GFCC to measure the competitiveness performance of more than 100 nations over 35 years.
