The GFCC extends congratulations to Professor Tan Sri Zakri Abdul Hamid on his new position on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Islamic Development Bank (IDB). He is one of 10 leading experts to join this board.
This new role combines with Zakri's other positions as science advisor to Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak and Joint Chairman of the Malaysian Industry-Government Group for High Technology (MIGHT).
Zakri has also received prestigious recognition in other capacities, in roles such as 2017's ASEAN Biodiversity Hero and founding chair of Intergovernmental Panel on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES).
