The American College of Greece Joins the GFCC

The GFCC is proud to welcome The American College of Greece (ACG) to its global network of universities, businesses, government agencies, and organizations committed to advancing competitiveness best practices and cross-border collaboration.

Founded in 1875, ACG is the oldest and largest US-accredited institution in Europe, offering education from pre-kindergarten through executive MBA and serving roughly 5,000 university students, with more than 2,000 international students each year. A nonprofit institution, ACG is committed to expanding access to education through an extensive scholarship and financial aid program of over $11 million for 2026-27. Its primary and secondary schools rank among the top 150 international schools worldwide and are the highest-ranked in Greece.

ACG develops talent, advances applied research, and partners with industry, government, and civil society to strengthen innovation, competitiveness, and opportunity in Greece and the region.

ACG comprises the following divisions: Pierce (Pre-kindergarten/Elementary; secondary education: Gymnasium, Lyceum; International Baccalaureate Program); Deree (undergraduate and graduate); Alba Graduate Business School. Alba was founded in 1992 by the Federation of Greek Industries as Greece's first private graduate business school. Its programs remain closely tied to the Greek economy and workforce.

On July 24, 2026, Deree — The American University of Greece was granted an establishment and operating license as a University Legal Entity under Law 5094/2024.
