“I am pleased to welcome Torrens University to the GFCC. The GFCC has long been the beneficiary of the insights and ingenuity of partners across Australia — spanning its great universities, corporations, research agencies and innovative policymakers," notes GFCC Founder and President, Deborah L. Wince-Smith.
"Under Prof. Aleks Subic’s leadership — that also encompasses his chairmanship of the GFCC’s Global Task Force on Human and AI, his renowned expertise in advancing the future of manufacturing, and his redefining of what the 21st century university will look like — we are excited to engage with Torrens faculty, students, and its broader ecosystem for innovation and competitiveness. We are confident this collaboration will strengthen our shared commitment to developing the talent and skills for our increasingly AI-driven economies."

“Joining the GFCC strengthens our commitment to shaping an education ecosystem where every learner gains the skills, industry experience, and global mindset needed to thrive in an AI‑driven economy. At Torrens University, employability is not an outcome — it is our core focus. Through our industry‑embedded education and research with partnerships across technology, design, business, and health, we ensure our students graduate ready to contribute to the economy and society,” Prof. Aleks Subic, Vice-chancellor, Torrens University Australia.
