On June 15, the Portugal Economic Forum, hosted by the AICEP Portugal Global (Portuguese Trade & Investment Agency) and the Portugal-US Chamber of Commerce (PUSCC), was held in New York City. GFCC President Deborah Wince-Smith moderated a panel discussing "Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Portugal's Future Industries" alongside leaders from Cisco, Google, Embraer and WeDo Technologies. The Prime Minister of Portugal, António Costa, and several other Country Leaders spoke at the Forum, as well as the Chairman of AICEP Portugal Global Luís Filipe de Castro Henriques, Minister of Economy of Portugal Manuel Caldeira Cabral, Minister of Science, Technology and Higher Education Manuel Heitor and Portuguese Secretary of State of Internationalization Eurico Brilhante Dias.
The Portugal Economic Forum’s complementary goal has been that of creating, fostering and nurturing a sense of community, capitalizing on the diversity of the members to spur novelty of insights, and encounters around common topics of shared international interest.
