The Global Federation of Competitiveness Councils (GFCC) is pleased to welcome Queen Mary University of London as a new member.

Queen Mary University of London is a public research university and a constituent college of the University of London. A highly academically competitive institution, Queen Mary is regularly ranked in the upper percentile of European and global universities, with its medicine programs being especially noteworthy. Queen Mary, together with a collection of other British universities, forms UCL Partners, the largest academic health science center in the world. Partnering with regional universities and offering students access to cutting-edge medical technology has allowed the university to achieve prominence among international research institutions.

With eight Nobel Prize laureates among Queen Mary University of London’s alumni, practical research is an integral part of Queen Mary’s mission. Partnerships with industrial firms such as IBM and Huawei allow students to transform their research into hands-on private sector experience. This fusion of innovative science and energetic entrepreneurialism embodies the GFCC’s foundational concept of Competitiveness through Collaboration.

Queen Mary University’s extensive medical research and wider scientific profile offers valuable depth to the GFCC’s global innovation community. We look forward to continued exchange and collaboration with Queen Mary so that research and science may act as drivers for prosperity.
