GFCC Releases New Report with Key Insights from Lisbon Study Trip

A newly released report provides a comprehensive account of discussions and lessons learned during the Lisbon Study Trip hosted by the Catholic University of Portugal in July last year.
The GFCC Community traveled to the Portuguese capital to explore the local innovation ecosystem and to unpack the strategy behind the city's transformation into a leading hub for innovation in Europe and globally.
The agenda included panel discussions and site visits to leading innovation sites, such as the Unicorn Factory at the Beato Innovation District, Diverge (the innovation hub of Grupo Nabeiro), the Siemens Portugal Tech Hub, and the Champalimaud Foundation.
The report highlights cross-sector partnerships and key lessons learned from exchanges with local actors and global leaders. It also features a snapshot of key data on strategic investments, innovation infrastructure, and policies supporting entrepreneurship and innovation development in Lisbon.
Additionally, it maps out the main actors powering the ecosystem, and it discusses Catholic University of Portugal's role in preparing the talent pipeline and advancing cutting-edge research that sustains the city's growth as a globally connected innovation hub.
