GFCC and Torrens University Release New Report on the Human-AI Transition

The GFCC, in partnership with its member Torrens University Australia, has launched a new report examining how societies and organizations are navigating the human-AI transition. The Human Edge: Global Perspectives on AI and Prosperity is now available for download.

The report was developed through the GFCC's Global Task Force on Human and AI, chaired by Torrens University Australia Vice-Chancellor Prof. Aleks Subic. It draws on a global survey conducted between November 2025 and April 2026, gathering perspectives from leaders across 32 countries on how AI is reshaping work, education, productivity, and innovation.

Among its findings, 89% of respondents said current education and workforce systems are preparing people poorly, or only somewhat inadequately, for the changes AI will bring. The report also identifies which human capabilities leaders expect to matter most in an AI-driven economy, and outlines the policy and institutional shifts needed to keep AI's gains from concentrating among those already advantaged.

"The findings are both encouraging and urgent," said GFCC Founder and President Deborah L. Wince-Smith. "At the center of many of the opinions shared is the need to enable talent development through an institutional overhaul across businesses, educational systems, and government programs — an agenda that has long been one of GFCC's defining priorities."

The report was officially launched during a global online event on July 16, 2026.
