Natural resources are part of everyday life and an essential asset for any economy in the world. Yet, unsustainable consumption patterns and increasing demands from a growing global population are pushing Earth's finite resources to their limits.
On August 20 at 11:00 AM ET, the GFCC hosts an exclusive webinar open to the public surveying ways to boost the productivity and regeneration of natural resources.
This most-relevant conversation will feature Professor Ken Sloan, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive Officer of Harper Adams University, and Daniel Litvin, Founder and CEO of Resource Resolutions, a mediation platform to reduce societal conflict and division around natural resources.
The session presented by moderated by GFCC Chairman Mr. Chad Holliday, an experienced business leader and longtime advocate for sustainable business practices. GFCC President Deborah L. Wince-Smith will introduce the session and present the speakers.
"It's time for a fundamental shift in how we value and steward natural resources. With the potential of new technologies and innovation on our side, we now have an opportunity to unlock the value of these critical assets. But we will only be able to achieve this through dialogue. We must reframe the conversation to create a positive impact on communities and all stakeholders involved", says Mr. Holliday.
As part of the event, Mr. Holliday will offer exclusive insights from a newly released joint paper with Harper Adams University, outlining key strategies and actionable recommendations to improve natural resource productivity and regeneration. The paper builds on themes from the GFCC’s 2024 Call to Action: Achieving a Sustainable Future for All, offering practical guidance for implementation.
This discussion continues GFCC’s longstanding commitment to sustainable innovation. In its 2021 Frame the Future Series, the GFCC hosted a dedicated session on natural resources and published a report providing recommendations to help leaders take action.
Register now and take part in this critical conversation on how to use new technologies and innovation to boost the productivity and regenaration of natural resources.
