Boosting Productivity and Regenerating Natural Resources
Webinar

About this Online Event

Our planet's natural resources, from renewable forests and water to finite minerals, are facing unprecedented pressure. A rapidly growing global population coupled with long-established unsustainable production and consumption patterns are pushing Earth's capacity to its limits. The consequences are already being felt globally, from extreme weather events to critical resource scarcity, highlighting the urgent need to redefine our relationship with these essential assets.

While decisive action is needed now—through new models to develop and use natural resources, circular economy practices and ecosystem restoration—human ingenuity, technology and new business and community engagement models also offers immense potential. This event explored what is needed to unlock breakthroughs, enhance resource productivity, and decouple economic growth from environmental harm.

"We need to move away from a model that understands growth as simply based on more extraction and focus on reuse and repurposing. This way we can lower costs and reduce the carbon footprint, amplifying the impact of what we do."

"Soft power often works better than hard power. In my mind, the way to really secure resources is through building long-term partnerships that deliver local and national benefits, building support from local civil society."
