Registration is now open for the GIS 2026 in Bulgaria

What strategic capabilities are needed to power competitiveness over the next decade? What role can regional cooperation play to ensure energy security?

Between October 19–22, senior leaders from government, industry and academia from across the globe will gather in Sofia, Bulgaria, to explore how energy security, future energy grids, infrastructure investment, AI and digital innovation, and next-generation nuclear energy are driving — or constraining — economic transformation across Europe and beyond.

Held under the theme Powering Competitiveness: Energy, Infrastructure and Digital Innovation for Economic Transformation, the Summit hosted by GFCC member Glavbolgarstroy Holding (GBS) will bring together global leaders for an exclusive exchange on the strategies and investments needed to compete in the decade ahead.

Following the Summit, participants will have the opportunity to visit innovation sites in Sofia on October 21 and the city of Plovdiv on October 22.

On October 19, GFCC members and fellows participate in the Annual Meeting, a moment to learn about developments across the GFCC network, reinforce connection, and build new partnerships. This year the Annual Meeting will also have dynamic workshops to advance the impact of the leadership network.
