Jack Sim honored by the Commonwealth of Nations

The GFCC

GFCC Distinguished Fellow Jack Sim was recognized for his outstanding work promoting sanitation around the world and received the Commonwealth Points of Light award. Mr. Sim received the Award — a personalized certificate signed by Queen Elizabeth II —on March 22.

Jack Sim is the founder of the World Toilet Organization, a network that currently spans 58 countries, and has worked in the design of a UN “Sanitation for All” resolution, among other initiatives related to the improvement of sanitation and living conditions in emerging nations. 


The award for Jack Sim was presented on March 22 at the ‘SG100 Foundation Anniversary Dinner’ in Singapore by Deputy British High Commissioner to Singapore Alexandra McKenzie. The official announcement by the British Government is available at https://www.pointsoflight.gov.uk/singapore/.
