GFCC and CNI host forum with university and industry leaders in São Paulo

Partnerships between universities, businesses, and governments are essential to advancing economic growth and global competitiveness.

On September 29, the GFCC and its member, the Brazilian National Confederation of Industry (CNI), host the forum Universities in Action: Building Cross-sector Alliances and Making Impact on Society in São Paulo, Brazil.

This exclusive closed-door event will be an occasion for leaders in GFCC and CNI networks to review global challenges and opportunities for universities and share best practices and experiences to advance cross-sector collaborations.

The forum has been designed to be dynamic and interactive. It will start with a short presentation followed by three discussions on business-university cooperation, the factors shaping universities of excellence, and how to advance science and technology through industry-university partnerships.

Leaders from Brazil, the United Kingdom, the United States, Saudi Arabia, Sierra Leone, Kazakhstan, South Africa, Greece, Ireland, and other parts of the globe have confirmed their attendance.

In 2022, GFCC and CNI hosted the forum Industry-University Partnerships for Impact in March in São Paulo, gathering leaders from Brazil, the United States, Japan, Peru, Zimbabwe, Qatar, the United Kingdom, and the United Arab Emirates.

During these conversations, leaders reviewed new models for collaboration and ways to advance innovation and institutional learning. A report of discussions and findings emerging from the event is available here.

The forum Universities in Action: Building Cross-sector Alliances and Making Impact on Society event happens the day after the 10th Industry Innovation Summit organized by CNI, the largest summit in industrial innovation in Latin America.
