The Brazilian Industry Innovation Summit takes place every two years in São Paulo, Brazil, and is one of the biggest biennial events held in this region of Latin America. During its seventh and latest edition, held in 2017, the audience was composed of more than 3,000 business leaders and there were talks from 65 speakers from 20 different countries.
The Summit is an initiative of the Entrepreneurial Mobilization for Innovation (MEI), a group of business leaders coordinated by the president of the Brazilian Industry Confederation (CNI) with the goal of increasing the innovation capabilities of Brazilian industry. In this forum, considered one of the foremost arenas for public-private sector dialogue on innovation, business leaders take a continuous, active role in proposing strategies to the Brazilian government as a collective contribution for the country’s economic growth. Nowadays, the MEI is composed of more than 300 companies represented by their founders or CEOs.
During the eighth edition of the summit, to be held June 10-11, 2019, the goal is to update the audience about the most disruptive technologies that came into the market in the two last years and the ones yet to come, and to discuss concrete examples of innovation strategies and policies undertaken in Brazil and around the world. The Summit will host, among other initiatives, the Brazilian National Innovation Award and various activities with startups. An estimated 5,000 guests will participate, including business leaders from all sectors, university representatives and government officials (including the President of Brazil and Ministers). For more information, checkout the official landing page.
