Kyiv National Economic University
Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman is a leading research university in Ukraine specialising in the field of economics, management and law. It trains more than 13,000 students at bachelor, master and doctoral levels. The mission of the university is to contribute to the development of the society by means of the scientific research, generation and dissemination of knowledge and training of competitive specialists and creative personalities. Dmytro Lukianenko, Rector
Doctor of Science, Professor, is a Rector of Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman, Director of the Institute of Global Economic Policy , Head of the Specialized Scientific Board on Doctoral and PhD Research in the field of International Economics and International Economic Relations, Chairman of the International Economics Subcommittee of the Scientific and Research Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine on Economics and Entrepreneurship. His research interests are in policy-relevant analysis of globalization and its impact on the competitiveness of the countries and territories, as well as socio-economic development processes. Within this his work he coordinates the activity of Scientific Park, Research Institutes, Specialized Scientific Boards and Academic of Council at KNEU. In his work Dmytro Lukianenko especially focuses on issues related to creative economy, innovation and cluster policy, governance, policy evaluation and the roles that universities play in globalised world. He has published more than 200 scientific papers related to these issues in peer-reviewed journals and academic books. He is the Chief Editor of the journals “International Economic Policy”,“Stock Exchange and Securities”, as well as the author and co-author of the following monographs:“Convergence and Divergence in Europe: Polish and Ukrainian Cases”, “The Impact of European Union Enlargement on Ukraine”, “Economic Development Globalization: Ukrainian Perspective”, “The Foundations of Real Economic Growth – National Intellectual and Material Resources in Combination with Efficient Management”, “The Peculiarities and Perspectives of Innovation Activity Development in Ukraine: Sectoral and Local Approach”. He has played a leading role in several European research projects, particularly in the fields of internationalization and innovative development of the countries’ strategies and has chaired numerous international symposiums, conferences and workshops.
