Webster University, with its home campus in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA, comprises an action-oriented global network of faculty, staff, students and alumni who forge powerful bonds with each other and with their communities around the globe.  Founded in 1915, Webster is a Tier 1 private non-profit university with nearly 17,000 students studying at campus locations in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa and in a robust learning environment online.  The university is committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences that transform students for global citizenship and individual excellence.

Under President Stroble’s leadership, Webster University has expanded its global impact to strengthen communities and grow globally diverse talent.  Investments in anchor campus locations in St. Louis, Vienna, Accra, and Athens coincide with development of new academic programs responsive to local needs.  Scholarly strength in the sciences will be expanded through the opening of a new interdisciplinary science building at its St. Louis campus in 2017.  As a comprehensive university, Webster enjoys current funding from the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

In 2016, Webster University rose to 24th place in US News & World Report “Best Colleges” 2017 list, also ranking first in its category for the economic diversity of the student body and the faculty resources the institution provides.  For the eighth consecutive year, it was ranked first among St. Louis regional institutions in the “Regional Universities – Midwest” classification.  Webster awards more graduate degrees to minority students than all nonprofit public and private institutions in the USA, as recognized by Diverse Magazine 2016 rankings.
