Women face unique challenges in the world of technology and entrepreneurship. That’s why on March 8 and 9th, the Ecuador Center for Competitiveness and Innovation hosted an international conference in Quito and Guayaquil to launch the National Award for Women’s Innovation. This competition will offer the expertise of the Center’s strategic allies and ongoing mentorship and support to those who participate in their efforts to develop their businesses and achieve increased success in their ventures.
In her opening remarks, GFCC distinguished fellow and President of the Center, Nathalie Cely paid tribute to the experience and commitment of women in the field of innovation and competitiveness. She invited attendees to continue their efforts to break glass ceilings and to keep setting — and achieving — bigger goals for themselves and their work. Present at the conference and award launch were such notable supporters as Richard Martinez, the President of the Chamber of Industries and Production and Patricio Alarcon, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Quito.
